Skiers double up

Six skiers won their second golds of the Games at the Winter Paralympics on Tuesday.

Canada's Brian McKeever added the middle distance cross country gold in the B3 category to his short distance title.

While Germany's Frank Houfle picked up his third medal and second gold in the B2 category.

Italy's Roland Ruepp also added a second cross country gold in the LW11 category to a bronze he had won in the biathlon.

Germany's Verena Bentele went one better by winning her third gold of the Games in the women's B1,2 middle distance cross country event.

Norway's Regnhild Myklebust won a second gold in the sitski event, while Finland's Tanja Kari earned the 10th paralympic gold of her career in the standing event.

"I don't take this gold medal for granted, because I've had a hard year," she said.

In the sledge hockey the USA continued their dominance with a 6-0 win over Sweden, while Norway also thrashed Estonia 6-1.

But Canada were surprisingly beaten 2-1 by Japan.
