Bobsleigh crewman

Philip Harries followed a familiar route into the bobsleigh by switching from the track.

He held the Welsh record in the 400m hurdles from 1988 to 1998.

And in an impressive running career, Harries competed in the 1988 Seoul Olympics for Great Britain.

He started competing in the bobsleigh 10 years later and made the national team in 2000.

The Derby County FC fan lists camping and real ale drinking among his other hobbies.
