Paul was part of the four-man GB bobsleigh team which claimed the bronze medal at the 1998 Nagano Games.

But he was unable to emulate his bronze when competing at Salt Lake City.

He was brakeman in GB2 in the four-man bobsleigh team which finished 14th.

When not competing, he enjoys spending time with his three-year-old daughter Charlotte, and gardening.

Paul also lists squash as one of his other sporting interests.
