Bobsleigh crewman

Dean Ward was the oldest member of the British bosleigh squad and brought a wealth of experience to the set-up.

The 38-year-old started competing in 1991 and has been on the international scene for seven years.

The highlight of that career came at the Nagano Olympics where he won bronze in partnership with Sean Olsson, Courtney Rumbolt and Paul Attwood.

Ward was also selected for the 1994 Olympics in Lillehammer.

At Salt Lake City, the brakeman finished 11th in the GB1 four-man bobsleigh.
