Hugh Pritchard was at the Winter Olympics just a year after taking up the biathlon.

He joined Mike Dixon, Mark Gee and Jason Sklenar in the 4x7.5km relay team, but they finished 19th and last.

As a youngster, Hugh was a member of the GB junior canoe slalom team.

Even in his spare time, he has a taste for adventure. Extreme white water rafting is among his interests, along with opera, literature and cooking.
