Margaret Morton
Margaret Morton is a relative newcomer to the international curling circuit, having emerged on the scene in 1999. But the Ayrshire-based competitor had already shown her potential before the Games got under way. She clinched fourth place at the European Championships in 1999 and the world championships in 2000. Morton, Scottish winner in 2000, took on the role of second in command to Rhona Martin at Salt Lake. She is the unsung heroine of the Olympic campaign having been on the ice to play only briefly in the round-robin. But she acted the supporting role of fifth player well.
