Curling - men's team

Ewan MacDonald failed to qualify past the round-robin stage but cheered his wife Fiona on to Olympic gold.

He was the youngest member of the men's team, but has plenty of experience of international success.

Having burst on the scene in 1998, the Inverness-based competitor grabbed gold medals at the European and world championships a year later.

It has been a lean run for the men's team since 1999.
