Warwick Smith
Warwick Smith was the alternate player who was brought in to replace skip Hammy McMillan. Smith had only been in the sport a relatively short time, but has already enjoyed national and international success on the curling circuit. The 30-year-old vice-captain burst on the scene in 1996, grabbing the first of four Scottish men's championship medals, as well as a silver in the world competition. Smith had his best season three years later when Scotland won the European and world titles, but failed to make the last four in Salt Lake City.
