Cheryl Done
Competing in the inaugural women's bobsleigh event at the Winter Games was a dream come true for Cheryl Done, who only started in 1995. But at Salt Lake City, she got her foot caught in the steering in the first run, losing valuable time. GB1 ended the Olympic race in 13th position. Done, on a one-year sabbatical from the Royal Air Force, showed her athletic pedigree at an early age, breaking the U15s British Pentathlon Record in 1985.
