Alpine skier, slalom, giant slalom

Emma Carrick-Anderson hoped before the Games to perform to her ability and she did just that, coming in 19th place in the slalom - her best Olympic result.

She is only 26-years-old, and yet this was her fourth Winter Games.

She burst on to the world stage in Albertville in 1992 when she finished eighth in the combined slalom, at the age of 16.

Carrick-Anderson has competed at the top level for more than a decade and has finished in the top 20 at World Cup level on numerous occasions.
