The giant slalom course has been upgraded to create room for a temporary stadium - which will increase the spectator capacity for that event to 17,000.

The half-pipe area - which can fit 10,000 people - has also been improved.

Prices for both events start at $35.

The director of skiing at the resort - which is 28 miles from the Olympic Village - is 1998 Olympic gold medallist Picabo Street.
