POST-WINTER OLYMPICS VERDICT:
For Lasse Kjus, the phrase: "Anything you can do, I can do better" has particular resonance.
Everything he achieved at Salt Lake was bettered by his Norwegian compatriot, and long time friend, Kjetil Andre Aamodt.
Kjus loves the big occasion and won silver in his first event, the men’s downhill.
By the time he had added a bronze in the giant slalom - his last event - Aamodt had won gold in two events, the combined and the super-G.
The medals Kjus did pick up took his all-time Olympic haul to five. Aamodt has seven.
At Olympic and world championship level Kjus now has 15. Aamodt has 17.
You get the picture.
