British snowboarder Lesley McKenna tells BBC Sport Online's Anna Thompson she is enjoying chilling out.

Great Britain's Lesley McKenna is taking time out of the rest of her season as she reflects on her poor performance in the Olympic half-pipe.

The 27-year-old has travelled to Jackson Hole in Wyoming with her boyfriend for a short break - skiing and, of course, snowboarding.

She said: "Although I've got four events left in the World Cup, it is nice to be able to switch off and just enjoy myself.

"It's good not to have a definite focus. Instead I can have a good time on the mountains and not have to think about it too much."

McKenna will head back to the Olympics next week when she changes from being a competitor to becoming a supporter.

She will be cheering on cousins Alain and Noel Baxter as they take part in the slalom and giant slalom.

The trio are from Aviemore and a contingent from the Scottish ski area is at Salt Lake City.

McKenna said: "It's fantastic we have all qualified for the Olympics. I'll be their biggest fan when they compete."

McKenna is still reeling from her 17th place in the half-pipe - her worse performance of the season. "I would have liked to have had a good day, just for myself, but you win some and lose some and sadly on this occasion I came to grief.

"But it was a great experience and I have learned a lot."
