Valenta leaps to unique win
The 29-year-old Valenta had been lying in fifith position
Ales Valenta opts for the quintuple-twisting triple flip on his last jump to clinch the freestyle aerial skiing title

The jump not only guaranteed him gold, but also a place in the history books.
Valenta revolves in mid-air, performing five twists and three flips before gravity takes control

On landing hed balanced briefly on one ski before skiing cleanly down the landing slope
The Czech star arrives at the bottom of the slope, overcome with joy at his jump

It was a disappointing day for defending champion Eric Bergoust of the United States, finishing 12th and last after a poor second jump
