Jaca bids for 2010 Games
The northern Spanish town of Jaca wins the right to bid for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Jaca will be hoping to finally win the Games
The northern Spanish town of Jaca has won the right to bid for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

The Spanish Olympic Committee chose the town, located in the western part of the Pyrenees in Aragon, ahead of Granada to become Spain's candidate city.

It will be the third time Jaca has bid for the Winter Olympics, following their failures for 1998 and 2002.

The COE will present the Jaca bid to the International Olympic Committee on 4 February.
