Prince in bobsleigh crash
Prince Albert finished 28th in the bobsleigh
Prince Albert of Monaco's fifth consecutive Winter Olympics came to a crashing halt as his team finished down the field in the four-man bobsleigh.
The Prince ended up slithering over the finish line on his head. The 43-year-old driver, racing under his family name of Grimaldi, came out of a bend too high and his sled was thrust over on its side. It eventually came to a halt in the finish area where the crew scrambled out unhurt in front of a cheering crowd. The mishap happened during the third heat of the four-run competition. His team eventually finished 28th in the competition, some 9.68 seconds behind winners Germany II.
