A great Games for Adam
GB bobsledder Marcus Adam tells BBC Sport Online's Anna Thompson about his unforgettable Winter Olympics' experience.
British bobsledder Marcus Adam is one of a small band of athletes who has been talented enough - and lucky enough - to compete in both the Summer and Winter Olympics.
And the Commonwealth Games gold medallist said he has loved the experiences of both.
Adam was the brakeman in GB1 which finished 10th in Sunday's two-man bobsleigh in Salt Lake City with Lee Johnston at the helm.
Adam told BBC Sport Online: "Although there isn't as many people in the crowd as at the Summer Games, it has still been excellent.
"The camaraderie is fantastic and there has been a nice vibe.
"There has been lots of people wishing us the best of luck and the atmosphere has been amazing.
"This is an Olympics experience I will never forget. It has been a privilege to be here."
Adam said he was only 85% fit going into the event because he was still recovering from a broken toe. He praised Johnston's driving.
He said: "I have not been able to do any speed training. Lee has had to pull me along this week. But we have a great team and to finish 10th in the world at the Olympics is fantastic."
Adam will not be part of the two four-man teams, who compete later this week at Utah Olympic Park.
"I am very rusty and knew that I would only make the four-man team if one of the others gets injured," said Adam.
"Instead I will relax and have a good time enjoying the rest of the Games."
He has also yet to decide if he will carry on with the bobsleigh.
Adam, who made the 200m final in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, is planning to return to sprinting.
He is aiming to be selected in the 200m for the England squad competing at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester in the summer.
He added: "I'll have to have a chat with Lee and discuss my bobsleigh future.
"I am just so pleased at the age of 33 to still be in top form."
