Swiss take control in two-man bob

Switzerland dominated the first day of competition in the men's two-man bobsleigh event with both their teams in the top three positions overnight.

Christian Reich and Steve Anderhub of Switzerland 1 lead the standings after the first two of four runs with Martin Annen and Beat Hefti of Switzerland 2 back in third place.

Germany 1, made up of Christoph Langen and Markus Zimmermann, are sandwiched between them in second place with two more runs to come on day ten of the Games.

Reich and Anderhub set a total time of one minute 35.05 seconds for their two runs with the Germans a mere 0.01secs behind.

Lee Johnston and Marcus Adam of Great Britain 1 finished more than one second off the pace back in 11th.

GB 2, made up of Neil Scarisbrick and Colin Bryce placed further down the field in 22nd.
