Bhutan

Bhutan is a small independent kingdom state in a friendship treaty relationship with its larger neighbour, India. It is bordered by India on the south and east and China (Tibet) on the north and west. It is a landlocked mountainous country, extending from the highest parts of the Himalayas, where the higher peaks rise to over 7,500 m/24,700 ft, to the foothill region on the Indian border. The climate and weather of Bhutan are similar to those described for Nepal. The table for Darjeeling in India is representative of conditions in the lower part of the country.
