Nazaneen Ghaffar - BBC South East Today

Nazaneen Ghaffar is a born and bred Kent girl and presents the weather for South East Today viewers and Radio Kent listeners.

Bought up and educated in Tunbridge Wells, her passion for presenting began at a very young age.

She was known to try to read the news for her father every evening from the subtitles as well as making her own radio shows with the help of her brother.

After her A-levels Nazaneen developed her love for television at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication gaining a BA (Hons) degree in broadcasting.

After graduating in 2006 her first taste of the industry was at Endemol in Bristol as a runner on Deal Or No Deal.

However it was when she was working as media co-ordinator at ITV West that Nazaneen got her chance, as she was asked to try out for a weather presenter position.

The next year and a half was a rollercoaster of great experiences for Nazaneen as she has developed her skills and abilities, presenting varied weather forecasts for the west of England on both television and online.

But landing the job with BBC South East has been the most exciting opportunity yet.

She says: "It's great to be back and present the weather for my home county. Hopefully the sun will always shine on all my forecasts."
