The Weather Show - October 2009

To anticipate the end of British Summer Time* the BBC News Channel have given the Weather Show an extra hour in bed and another chance to wheel out the BBQ (if you haven't already thrown it into the canal) and bask in the delights** of the British climate.

Available on the BBC iPlayer and presented by the blindingly bright Carol Kirkwood, the programme is the BBC's look at the weather around us: how it impacts on the world and affects our lives.

Peter Gibbs looks at the history of weather modification while Dan Corbett explains some of the recent meteorological news from around the globe.

As always, there are your pictures to peruse and a chance to hear your questions answered by the brightest brains of the Weather Centre.

Sevi Lawson will also be on hand to guide you through some of the good, the bad and the frankly ugly weather related gadgets available today.

The content of the show is decided at the discretion of the producer and not all comments or suggestions will be included in the programme, although if we don't have any ideas expect that to change.

Look forward to your company

The Weather Show

* British Summer Time is only a phrase and does not indicate the actual presence of summer (temperatures may go down as well as up)

** Not all delights are delightful!
