BBC Weather forecasts are available on your mobile phone and wireless handheld device - so you can keep up-to-date with weather information while on the move.

Stay in touch with weather warnings and the 5-day forecast for the UK and rest of the world. If you are able to view our enhanced mobile site you will also have access to the Shipping forecast and the latest weather warnings no matter where you are in the UK.

How to access BBC Weather on the move

If you are based in the UK and have a mobile phone through which you can access the internet, text the word "WEATHER" to 81010 and we will send you a link to our mobile service. Once you've clicked on the link you can save it as a bookmark on your device.

Alternatively you can go to www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/weather on your mobile browser which will take you straight to the weather mobile site.

How to get RSS feeds straight to your mobile

If you use our weather RSS feeds on your PC and would also like to receive the feeds whilst you're on the move you should be able to set up RSS on your mobile device.

Some mobile phones come pre-loaded with applications which will read feeds for you but in many cases you will need to download and install an RSS feed reader on your mobile.

The easiest way to find an application for your phone is to search the internet for the term "RSS feed reader" and your phone or device type.

For example, if you have a Sony Ericsson or a Nokia you should search for "RSS feed reader Sony Ericsson" and "RSS feed reader Nokia" respectively.

Text your Weatherpics to 60011

If you're out and about and capture a weather related image on your mobile that you think we'd be interested in, why not send it to us?

You can text your weather photos to "60011" attaching the word "weatherpics" as the subject or email photos to [e-mail]. All weatherpics sent in by MMS will be considered for our photo gallery.

How much will this Cost

Unfortunately we cannot give the specific costs of using our mobile services. While many people now have data usage built directly into their monthly payment plans, others on older plans do not. Please check with your operator for more information.
