Online 1000 figures: The Budget
A majority of voters in the UK are supportive of the Chancellor's budget. An ICM survey for BBC News Online suggests that voters are happy with the benefits of the budget for families but a majority felt that not enough had been done for pensioners. A detailed breakdown of the survey results can be seen below. (Story first published 10 Mar, 2001.)
Prepared for BBC News Online by ICM Research Ltd. The BBC News Online 1000 will continue to give their opinions on political issues during the election campaign. |
