Warren Buffett: Fiscal cliff can be solved

Today's guest editor, Melinda Gates, who with her husband Bill, is one of the world's leading philanthropists.

The sage of Omaha, Warren Buffett, talks to Mrs Gates about philanthropy in the US.

"We have a great history of philanthropy but that doesn't mean that we don't have the capacity to do a whole lot more," Mr Buffett explained.

When asked about America's impeding so-called fiscal cliff he said that: "we are a rich country, it can be solved"

"America has faced a lot tougher problems than this one," he added.
