Cabinet Office Minister Francis Maude and Universities and Science Minister David Willetts will be in the so-called "silicon roundabout" in east London today to discuss how help the UK's technology sector to grow.

Much has been made of trying to create a technology hub here in Britain to attract talent and investment but is the UK on the right track?

David Richards, founder of Wan Disco, a company set up in California and recently floated in London, explained that he decided to base his company here because of the growing technology industry.

"I like the fact that we are trying to get behind technology but I'm not entirely sure that calling it a roundabout is particularly a good catchphrase," he said.
