America on the eve of Election Day

Today is the last full day of campaigning in the US Presidential election.

Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are both hitting the key swing states hard in the final push for votes.

Today presenter James Naughtie heard from the American public as both candidates converged on the same town in Iowa over the weekend.

He saw how the rift between the Republicans and Democrats has been widening as election day draws closer.

One woman explained her views on how Mitt Romney's policies would affect womens' rights: "We fought very had to have our rights and Romney is going to take that away."
