Hossein Yassaie is chief executive office at Imagination Technologies Group.

The company, formerly Videologic, started out in 1985 making chips or microprocessors which were specially designed for graphics but also went on to produce digital radios under the PURE brand. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.

"The important thing about radio is bringing the smartness that has been created in phones onto radio. This is about hybrid radios that are connected as well" he told Today business presenter Simon Jack.

Mr Yassaie is a trained electronic engineer and is also the company's chief technology officer. He explained that he is keen to introduce new blood into the business.

"We have about 1300 people and we hire about 100 new graduates every year. I think that hiring the best talent is very important for us... We've engaged with many universities directly to secure employment for the right people early on and have schemes that allow people to get engaged in electronics and do interesting and new stuff".
