The Territorial Army could undergo some changes that would see its name and relationship with the army change, under plans unveiled by Defence Secretary Philip Hammond.
Former SAS commander Colonel Richard Williams describes these plans as a "great political direction" and agrees "a rebranding is required".
He denied that the move would lead to a reduced professional force.
"It is not a question of substituting or reducing our professional services
it's a question of complementing them
and treating them as a whole."
