The Pakistani politician Imran Khan has said that he would authorise the shooting down of US drones over his country if he became its head of government, as they violate Pakistan's sovereignty.
Mr Khan, a former international cricketer who now leads the Tehreek-e-Insaf party, told Today presenter John Humphrys that the drone strikes are "so counterproductive", kill many innocent people and that the relatives of casualties often "go join the militants"
