RIM's Blackberry handset looked 'tired'

Three senior executives at Research In Motion (RIM) have recorded a cover of an REO Speedwagon's Keep On Loving You - rewriting the lyrics into a love song directed at third party app developers.

Richard Jeffrey, Chief Investment Officer at Cazenove Capital Management, told the Today programme the company must fight to retain their share of the smartphone market.

"There have been new product launches from RIM recently, and I think it's important that these capture the imagination because it was clear that against strong competition, the Blackberry product was beginning to look quite tired.

"We'll wait and see, but I think it's going to be a much more competitive market, and Blackberry does not have it all to itself."
