The UK could be getting 4G mobile coverage sooner than previously thought, according to the BBC's technology correspondent, Rory Cellan-Jones.
He told the Today programme: "I've seen a letter from [regulator] Ofcom to the Culture Secretary Maria Miller giving details of the progress made in these talks which we're about to see the culmination of. And what Ofcom is basically saying is that it's found a way of speeding up the 4G auction process.
"The airwaves needed for these new services were not going to be cleared until the end of 2013."
