Should MPs be allowed to job share?

There has been another effort this week to kick start a serious debate about whether MPs should be allowed to job share.

Meg Hillier is Labour MP for Hackney for Hackney South and she believes that there is "no practical reason" why two people "couldn't work out how to job share".

David Amess, Conservative MP for Southend West called the idea "bonkers", adding that being an MP "isn't the sort of job that is appropriate for job sharing".
