BBC announcer Charlotte Green reads censored Bond extracts

Charlotte Green reads an extract from a James Bond book censored in Spain during General Franco's rule.

Although Franco died in 1975, remnants of his fascist regime remain in Spain.

Jordi Cornella-Detrell, who teaches Hispanic languages at Bangor University, discovered bowdlerised translations are still being published, including James Bond books.

He said that the censored passages "would immediately attract the attention of the Spanish reader at the time".
