London Metropolitan student 'not left with much option'

More than 2,000 overseas students from the London Metropolitan University have to find another university to take them before the new term begins.

This follows a decision by the UK Border Agency to revoke the institution's licence to sponsor international students.

The Today programme's Zubeida Malik has been following one of the students as he tries to find a new place to study.

"I'm not left with much option right now," said 21-year-old Akash Patel.

He only had six months left to finish his course but because no-one will give him a place for six months, he has to do his final year all over again - and pay a year's fees in full.
