Plaid Cymru opens its conference in Brecon in mid-Wales today.
The party's had a difficult couple of years, coming third behind the Conservatives in the Assembly elections in 2011 and losing 20% of its council seats in this year's local elections.
The new party leader, Leanne Wood, said that the main challenge for Plaid Cymru is "ensuring we have a plan for turning around the Welsh economy".
"Job creation has to be the top concern for everyone in Wales," she said.
On the subject of the political challenges for the party she said that Plaid Cymru "has to ensure people understand what our programme of government is".
