Sam Ingram has said he feels that he has "ruined" four years of his life after what he called an "error" led him to fail to win a gold medal in judo in the Paralympics.
He had earlier commented that he was "absolutely gutted" to go home with a silver after it had been widely predicted he would go home with a gold medal.
Mr Ingram told presenter Justin Webb he regretted taking his coach's advice not to make any big engagements or counteractions at the start of the match - which led to his opponent taking the lead.
