Dyson, the name synonymous with vacuum cleaners, has just reported record annual profits of £306m with turnover topping £1bn for the first time.
The company is advertising for 300 new employees and over half of those require engineering degrees.
Sir James Dyson admits that it will be "very difficult" to fill the posts.
Speaking to the Today programme he said the problem is that "we're not graduating enough engineers... we desperately need more engineer and science graduates."
