This month will see the world's biggest names in smartphones launch new models as they fight for supremacy in the highly lucrative market.

But for Apple and Samsung that battle will also continue in the world's patent courts.

Last month, Apple won a landmark case in California, which sparked a debate about whether the way we protect intellectual property has gone badly wrong.
