Paul Ryan: Republican supporters on VP candidate appeal


Some Republicans appear to feel more passionate about presidential nominee Mitt Romney's deputy Paul Ryan than for the main man.

Mr Ryan has spoken to rapturous applause making a big promise that, if elected, the pair would lead America back to prosperity.

North America editor Mark Mardell looked at the appeal of the number two on the ticket for the November poll, who has been compared favourably to Ronald Reagan.
