John Cage 'silence' and other strange classical music

The Royal Albert Hall will see one of its strangest performances at the Proms with John Cage's 4'33'' (4 minutes 33 seconds) - his famous silent work, which has divided audiences for 60 years.

Nicola Stanbridge considers some of the more controversial and less-mainstream performances of classical music.
