Public needs anti-social behaviour lessons, says report

Members of the public should be given lessons in how to tackle anti-social behaviour, a report has suggested.

Jane Atkinson set up the charity Dfuse, which trains people in conflict resolution.

She told the Today programme that the aim in a conflict situation - or where there is anti-social behaviour - is to "defuse the situation".

"You separate the problem from the person," she explained, but warned only to intervene "when you feel it is the right situation".
