Last week a coroner ruled that NHS patient Kane Gorny died from dehydration, after lying desperate for a drink of water in his hospital bed.
His mother Rita Cronin said that the ward was "in absolute chaos" when she arrived to visit her son, with the nursing staff "very confused themselves, they looked way out of [their] depth".
Speaking to the Today programme, she says she believes the problem is with the "whole system" as there is "no communication, nobody knows what the other person has done".
She told Sarah Montague that "not once" did she meet anyone who was caring and she felt that "nobody was bothered about anybody".
