How to camp in the rain successfully

Is it possible to have a successful camping trip in the rain?

Speaking to the Today programme, author Kathy Lette describes camping as a "sort of stinging nettle, riddled insect infested leech laden area".

Novelist and former SAS operative Andy McNab, however, believes that camping in the rain is "part of the fun".

He told John Humphrys that all you need is a good set of waterproofs, a good tent, and "you can just sit there and listen to the rain all night... fantastic."
