Art critic Michael Peppiatt has spent the last 45 years interviewing famous artists, including Francis Bacon, Henry Moore, and Balthus.

In his new book, Interviews with Artists, he talks about over 40 of his most significant and revealing interviews.

Speaking to the Today programme's Justin Webb, he recalls getting drunk with Francis Bacon in an "epic fashion".

"Hangovers were a bit tough but nevertheless we had a lot of fun," he said.
