The National Trust is launching an appeal to raise money to allow them buy an area of farmland on The White Cliffs of Dover.
More than £1.2m is needed by the end of 2012 to purchase and sustain the cliffs. The charity already owns part of the land but needs this last parcel to make it complete.
Dame Fiona Reynolds, Director General of the Trust, says the proposition offers "triple benefits of access, nature, and landscape".
