The UN Conference on Sustainable Development, dubbed Rio+20 to mark the fact that it is 20 years since the original Rio Earth Summit, opens today.

Tom Feilden has been looking at one of the key themes the conference must address - the state of the world's oceans - and assesses the prospects for success.
