The BBC's Michael Buchanan has been looking at what happened to the eight employees of a shop in Birmingham after it closed in January.

Claire, one of the former employees says she printed off hundred of CVs and applied for dozens of jobs. "I'm bored, I need to get out of the house" she said.

Janet, another of the former employees says having a job gives her "a reason to get up in the morning".

But at the age of 66 she believes there is no job for her. "I'm on the scrap heap," she explained.
