MPs will vote today on whether there should be an investigation into the way the Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt handled the bid by News Corp to take over BSkyB.

Liberal Democratic MP Don Foster believes the vote is "a stunt" as the prime minister has "already made his mind up".

"The vote today makes no difference" he told the Today programme.

Tory MP Louise Mensch, says there doesn't need to be an investigation as "all the questions have been answered before a judge-led inquiry".

"The Lib Dems are just being silly," she told presenter John Humphrys.
