Sports people 'need to plan retirement'

How do sports people cope with retirement?

Former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan believes it is important that sports people plan ahead and put things in place for when they retire. "They need to realise that its all going to end at some point", he adds, but also "get excited about new challenges".

Badminton player Gail Emms, says it was a very strange feeling when she retired. You go from being the best at something to practically nothing, the lack of routine was very hard, she adds.
