Julia Donaldson: Maurice Sendak 'widened the horizons'

US author and illustrator Maurice Sendak, who created Where the Wild Things Are, has died at the age of 83.

Gruffalo writer and Children's Laureate Julia Donaldson told the Today programme that he had "widened the horizons" of children's literature.
